WMC GUIDE Hiring Editor-In-Chief

We are hiring an experienced Editor-in-Chief or talented Editor to work part-time to help publish our online guide for Winter Music Conference 2010. View the beta version here – www.nightlyfe.com/wmc

Position starts immediately and ends mid-April. Requires 7-15 hours per week. Long-term work or full-time position may be offered dependent upon success of your work. Pay is based upon experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for managing a team of 10 contributors and 1 media coordinator.

Your core responsibilities will be
+ developing hot topics and stories for/with contributors,
+ researching and collecting media/stories
+ editing blog posts and guides following our strict publishing guidelines
+ fact check articles + be available during Winter Music Conference – March 24th-27th for live publishing

You may be asked to do the following
+ recruit and hire Editors for special guide sections (Music, Nightclubs, Events) + Edit Press Releases + Act as Press Contact

REQUIREMENTS

You must have experience working with WordPress and producing and publishing HIGH QUALITY content for websites or blogs.
You must be experienced writing optimized articles/blog posts for SEO (must know what a optimized Title is, how to write post descriptions, key words and tags)
Experience using social media to promote articles.
Knowledge and experience with Winter Music Conference and Miami nightlife a huge plus.
Be able to publish one post per day 7 days a week until April 1, 2007 and 1 guide per week until March 15th.

The WMC 2010 GUIDE will help tens of thousands of people throughout Winter Music Conference get the most out of their Miami experience this coming March. This December we will begin developing WMC 2010 content and media for our web based guide, iPhone application and e-Guide.

Throughout the week of Winter Music Conference 2010 our partnered infield photographers, videographers, journalists and correspondents will provide real time updates and commentary from the best WMC events and parties throughout Miami. These multimedia updates will be streamed live via our live blog feed and distributed through our Twitter (wmclive), Facebook ((Winter Music Conference (WMC) )), and iPhone application (WMC GUIDE); providing our global users and associate press unparalleled coverage of the Winter Music Conference.

“Winter Music Conference: The Uncensored & Unofficial Guide” is managed and owned by Nightlyfe LLC, a lifestyle publishing and marketing company based in New York City and is in no way associated with the Winter Music Conference organization. To keep accurate and complete information coming in a relevant and timely manner to satisfy this obsession is what we have undertaken – and you are a critical part of it.

The role Editor-In-Chief is essential to producing the best WMC content and coverage available. Our content will read by tens of thousands of WMC attendees and referenced by hundreds of media and press globally.
