Winter Music Conference 2010 will once again be graced with the same epic matchup that occurred last year, with DJMag and The Shelborne. Last year this combo delivered some of the best parties of the entire Winter Music Conference week, and this coming WMC, they’ll be repeating the phenomenon.
“I am thrilled to announce that the partnership between The Shelborne and DJMag will not only happen again this year for Winter Music Conference 2010,” said Jon Cowan, Managing Director of Cowan Enterprises and Operator of The Shelborne Beach Resort. “But we’ve secured an exclusive three-year deal.”
DJMag is known as one of the leading publications when it comes to the electronic dance music scene, so once they tagged The Shelborne “home” for their Winter Music Conference events, everyone knew that something special was about to go down. This year’s Winter Music Conference hosted their first collaboration, but next year’s gathering will really set the tone for the future.
“DJMag at The Shelborne is the hub of electronic dance music at the Miami Winter Music Conference,” said Ben Murphy, Deputy Editor of DJMag. “After the phenomenal success of last year’s week of events, we’re delighted to be back in partnership with The Shelborne for another series of exceptional parties for WMC 2010. Expect even bigger and better things!”
From March 23rd to March 28th, The Shelborne and DJMag will be putting together some events that will definitely bring the hype of the venue to an all-new high. Last year some memorable parties included the Loco Dice and Luciano party (which had fans scrambling for tickets until they ultimately sold-out) and Danny Tenaglia’s pool party marathon that brought in true Danny T fans by the herds. This year you can definitely bet that they’ll be some serious talent back at The Shelborne Beach Resort for Winter Music Conference, and some of the parties may look pretty similar to last year’s memorable lineup.
“If you thought last year was strong, just you wait to see not only the talent that we’ve secured, some returning and some new, but many production surprises as well,” said Cowan. “DJMag at The Shelborne Winter Music Conference 2010 will be one for the record books.”
The Shelborne is already selling Winter Music Conference tickets for their events for an Early Bird special price. With the downturn of the economy and the impact it has had on nearly everyone, this is the perfect opportunity for those who are looking to save some money on their Winter Music Conference experience. The first 100 tickets will be $10 for the club events and $20 for the pool events, meaning one hell of a steal for everyone. The combination of tickets, The Shelborne and Winter Music Conference can only mean one thing: the return of the Wantickets Lounge.
“The Wantickets Lounge will once again be located in the ‘Ocean Room,’ located above the lobby,” said Rebecca Sin, Operations Director for Ticketing at Track Entertainment. “Wantickets will have ample staff and innovative technology, allowing customers to print their nightclub ticket orders upon pickup with their credit card and ID from one of the designated computers located in the store.”
Last year’s WMC ticket buyers were extremely pleased with the ticket pick-up process, and this year not much will change, making it just as easy to pick-up any tickets you’ve ordered.
“Tickets for Winter Music Conference nightclub events will also be available for purchase on site, for all events that are not sold out in advance,” said Sin.
The buzz for Winter Music Conference 2010 has already begun, and it looks as if DJMag at The Shelborne will once again be the main attraction at this massive electronic dance music event.
Wednesday – Recession Session
In 2009, the Recession Session sold out in record time and rocked from start to finish, and Recession Session 2 is set to be even bigger! After the success of last year, phones have been ringing off the hook with “DJs desperate to play” according to DJ Mag. For 2010, they have assembled a lineup and party that could not be better. Costing a mere $10, this may be the hottest ticket for Winter Music Conference 2010.
Lineup: Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Dubfire, Will Saul, Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn, Dennis Ferrer, SOS DJ’s (Desyn Masiello, Omid 16B & Demi), Way Out West (live) and the NGDJ Competition Winner.
All Registered Shelborne Hotel Guests receive complimentary admission to all events based on capacity at time of arrival. For Hotel Reservations call (305) 531-1271. Tables, Bottle service or Cabana Rentals: Shine@shelborne.com. Accredited Press information: dennis@shelborne.com.

one of the best parties I went to last year! danny tenaglia was awesome for the closing party!
Great lineup!
So if we decided to go to this after Ultra say around 1am how likely are we to get in?
Would it be worth buying tickets ahead of time?
Thanks
John- there's always a chance the party will reach capacity, but if you really want to go your best bet is to buy tickets in advance.
