Finding an airfare deal is essential when it comes to traveling, and especially when you are coming to WMC. After all, you’re coming to Miami, a city where there’s plenty of other stuff worth paying for that you’ll need extra cash to purchase.
Using Kayak to find Cheap Flights. Many times, you can get the cheapest deal if you book directly through the official website of the airline company. But if you’re looking for the ultimate airfare deal Kayak offers a perfect all-in-one resource. Kayak’s easy-to-use interface searches for and shows the cheapest rate from thousands of booking agencies and airline companies. With Kayak’s extensive one-stop information source, you won’t need to check multiple resources for booking your flight.
Travel rates to Miami for Students. If you are a student, check www.studentuniverse.com. If you’re not concerned with earning frequent flyer miles, Student Universe offers good deals for students, but in most cases the flights do not let you earn mileage bonus points. If you are a frequent traveler and want to earn miles, this website might not be for you. However, for the student on a budget, Student Universe offers money-saving airfares worth checking out.
Special Travel Deal for Winter Music Conference Attendees. If you are planning to purchase a registration for WMC, you can get a special discount for WMC attendees by flying American Airlines.
American Airlines will provide discounts on air travel between March 20, 2010 and March 30, 2010. To make reservations, log on to www.aa.com or call 1-800-433-1790 and use Winter Music Conference 2010 promo code 5730AK.
If you’re renting a car, the WMC site also notes: “You can also book your discounted Avis car rental when calling American Airlines for your flight.”
Want to compare the rates? Here are a few more resources.
Happy hunting!

I also just wanted to mention the site yapta.com, which tracks flight prices for you and tells you when the flight you want has gotten cheaper or more expensive. I’ve found that flight prices get to their lowest around 6 weeks before WMC, which is good for those of us who cant afford to book right now. So just choose a couple of flights you want on the way there and on the way back (you have to select the exact airline and flight times) and just let yapta do the work for you from there so you don’t have to check on kayak every day. Happy Hunting!
Another tip: book your flight to fort lauderdale or west palm beach, it is 30min and 1 hour driving respectively, but the prices are cheaper than to miami international.
The Ft. Lauderdale/WPB Suggestion is a good one, but you’d have to consider how much you would ACTUALLY save when you factor in a car rental from FTL/WPB to Miami, the gas for the drive, and the fact that you would most likely be flying home from the same Airport. I’ve been to plenty of WMC, and believe me, at the end of it all, the last thing you wanna do is wake up early nough for check out, and drive yourself to an airport that actually ends up being 45 minutes away with traffic.
yeah, i agree with your point, but i have a friend though who can pick me up and drop me out:), so, for me it is a good deal to fly to lauder or palm beach:)
