The Glitch Mob is coming to Winter Music Conference this year to bring you something different from the West Coast. Made up of OOah, edIT, and Boreta, this group of genre-defying misfits from LA performs live edits of bass-heavy, downtempo, glitchy tunes using several different hardware and software combinations, all designed to rock a crowd. Their shows feature live drumming and programming, most recently using the artistically expressive Lemur MIDI controllers. The Glitch Mob rejects traditional instruments, making their sound fresh and their shows unique. Their freestyle performances are energetic and they work together intuitively, putting on shows that they describe as “the experience of being slayed.”
All three members have issued solo releases on their own Glitch Mob Unlimited label, and EdIT has also produced tracks that have appeared in commercials for Scion, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and Calvin Klein.
With a quick rise from the L.A. party scene and Coachella to all over the world, don’t miss your chance to see them perform live at Ultra.
The Glitch Mob’s new album Drink the Sea comes out May 25.
