Liquor Advertising Using Social Media

Picture 3Something very new is happening. Liquor companies are cutting back costly traditional advertising such as print and TV and using more social media. About time!

Branded pictures of hot people and cool videos with placement of their new product is one way to generate buzz. One of my favorite recent campaigns doing exactly this is for Belevedere’s new vodka IX. Armed with a  sleek website hosting to multimedia, plus, a Twitter account and Facebook Fan page, Belevedere is reaching their target audience – the young and trendy who have their own network to influence. To develop your own social media campaign follow this mix:

A Hosted Party + 1 Part Photos + 1 Part Video + Product Placement + Branding x 2 Parts Sex = Social Media Campaign That Sells

* Do you really want to blow up your social media campaign? Add Facebook connect and Twitter feed to your website. Then only add influencers and your target audience to your social networks. Reward those in your network with special party invites and promotions. They key is growing your network with quality, not quantity, adding those that build your campaign image. Put a velvet rope on your network, and get people talking/sharing/commenting/forwarding/posting & re-posting with the distribution of some quality multimedia.
