The Downtown Diaries now Powered Nightlyfe

After a year of blogging her New York City nightlife adventures, owner and author Kristina Marino has relaunched her popular blog, The Downtown Diaries, with a completely new design and publishing platform by Nightlyfe.

Previously published and hosted on the Blogger platform, TheDowntownDiaries.net started off as a fun hobby as an anonymous tell all of her late night antics. A few months in, Marino noticed her blog becoming increasingly popular amongst the many New York City nightlife blogs and was being deemed as a taste maker. With the help of Nightlyfe.com’s creative team and publishing platform, she decided to move forward with a “major upgrade” to her blog as she started producing and promoting her own acclaimed events and was becoming a prominent fixture to NYC nightlife.

“I was straddled between two websites (TheDowntownDiaires.com using WordPress & TheDowntownDiaries.net on Blogger) trying to figure out which blogging platform worked best for me. Hello and welcome to the new home of nightlife.

I found Nightlyfe in 2005 as a nigtclub owner looking for a new way to promote my venue. Shortly after, I got into nightlife photography, video production, and blogging and did a lot of research discovering others that were into the same stuff I was interested in – dance music, cool parties, and the lifestyle that comes with being young and social in a happening city.

On 9.9.09 I re-launched Nightlyfe.com with an entirely new approach to supporting my favorite blogs. Using WordPress, my team built a publishing platform that provides our members the ability to easily publish content, market their blog and make money from their online efforts. With the DJ, music producer, photographer, socialite and promoter in mind we added a bunch of built in features to help grow their following.

Our team is constantly working to improve Nightlyfe.com and we are very excited to hear from you as you join what we expect will be the most influential community of nightlife blogs in the world.
